Policy Context

The proposed development site comprises 49 acres to the north east of the A47(T) Postwick Interchange. The western boundary of the site is formed by Broadland Way and the southern boundary by the A47.

The Greater Norwich Development Partnership is currently preparing a joint core strategy for Broadland, Norwich and South Norfolk which will set the strategic policy framework to deliver sustainable growth in the years to come. At the heart of the approach is the need to provide new jobs and employment opportunities.

The East of England plan identifies Broadland Business Park as a strategic employment location.

An economic study carried out to provide evidence to develop the joint core strategy recommends expansion of Broadland Business Park.

Significant infrastructure improvements are required at the Postwick Interchange to facilitate this growth and deliver this key component of the strategy for the Norwich area.
